Success Criteria is a system for students to engage in their own learning. The focus of Success Criteria is on student clarity.

When the students use Success Criteria effectively, they have clarity of what they need to learn.  Success Criteria empowers the students, and the responsibility of learning is transferred to them.

When students engage with high quality learning intention and Success Criteria, students growth and learning can be the equivalent of over 2 years.

The responsibility of learning is transferred to the student.

When a teacher create clear and effective Learning Intention and Success Criteria are broken into digestible chunks for student learning and when teachers effectively use it in their instruction and assessment, student engagement is high and authentic student learning is evidenced through their achievement.
